Step-by-Step Setup in GoHighLevel
Step 1: Enable the Feature
Go to Settings โ Business Profile โ Missed Call Text Back. Toggle it on. You'll see a default message already there โ we'll customise this in a moment.
Step 2: Write Your Message
The default message is generic. Replace it with something personal and action-oriented. Here's a template that works well:
Keep it short, friendly and give them an easy next step. The goal is to keep the conversation going.
Step 3: Create a Follow-Up Workflow
The text back is just the start. Build a workflow that continues the conversation if they don't reply:
- Trigger: Missed Call
- Action 1: Send SMS (immediate)
- Wait: 2 hours
- Condition: If no reply received
- Action 2: Send follow-up SMS โ "Just checking in! We have availability this week. Would any of these times work for a quick call?"
- Wait: 24 hours
- Action 3: Send final email follow-up
Step 4: Set Business Hours
Under Settings โ Business Hours, set your operating hours. Missed call texts can still go out 24/7, but you can configure different messages for after-hours calls.
