The Problem
A roofing company with a 5-person crew was generating 25–30 leads per month from Google Ads and word of mouth. They were closing about 6–8 jobs — a 25% close rate that the owner felt was far below what it should be.
When we dug into the process, the issue was clear: leads came in, someone called them back within a day or two, went out for a quote, and then… nothing. No follow-up after the quote. What We Built
Immediate Lead Response
Every new lead now gets an SMS within 60 seconds: "Hi [name], thanks for reaching out about your roof — I'll call you to arrange a free inspection. In the meantime, here's what to expect: [link to process page]." The call rate before the owner reaches out jumped from 45% to 78% because leads felt acknowledged immediately.
Quote Follow-Up Sequence
This was the biggest revenue unlock. After a quote is sent, a 10-day follow-up sequence runs automatically: a same-day "just checking you received the quote" SMS, a follow-up 3 days later highlighting their guarantee and references, a message on day 7 addressing the most common objection (price), and a final message on day 10 with a limited-time offer.
Before this, maybe 20% of quotes got any follow-up at all. After, 100% got a structured sequence. Close rate on quoted jobs went from 32% to 61%.
Review Generation After Completion
Every completed job triggers a review request 24 hours after the crew leaves. The company went from 14 Google reviews with a 3.9 rating (two old bad reviews were dragging it down) to 67 reviews with a 4.8 rating in 4 months. The impact on inbound Google enquiries was significant — they went from 8 organic enquiries per month to 22.
