GoHighLevel Login Problems Fall Into Clear Categories

Login issues in GoHighLevel are frustrating because you are locked out of your business tools. The good news is that almost all of them are fixable and most can be resolved in under 5 minutes.

Issue 1: Incorrect Password

The most common cause. Use the "Forgot Password" link on the login page. The reset email comes from no-reply@gohighlevel.com — check your spam folder if you do not receive it within 2 minutes.

Issue 2: Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Code Not Working

If you have 2FA enabled and the code is not working, check the time on your authenticator app device. TOTP codes are time-sensitive — if your device clock is even a few minutes out of sync, the codes will fail. Sync your device time with an internet time server.

If you have lost access to your 2FA device, use the backup codes you were given when setting up 2FA. If you do not have those, you will need to contact GoHighLevel support directly for account recovery.

Issue 3: White Label Domain Login

If you are accessing GoHighLevel through a white-label domain (e.g., app.youragency.com), you must log in at that specific domain — not at app.gohighlevel.com. Bookmarks to the wrong domain are a common cause of apparent login failures.

Issue 4: Account Has Been Deactivated

If your GoHighLevel subscription has lapsed due to a failed payment, your account may be deactivated. Log in at app.gohighlevel.com (not a white-label domain) and check if you see a payment or account status message.

Issue 5: Browser or Cache Issue

Corrupt cookies or cached session data can prevent login. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies, or try logging in from a private / incognito window. If private browsing works, the issue is in your browser storage.

Issue 6: SSO or OAuth Issue

If your account is set up with Single Sign-On through Google or another provider, issues with that provider's authentication can block GHL login. Try the standard username/password login path instead of SSO to isolate the issue.

Save the GoHighLevel status page (status.gohighlevel.com) as a bookmark. Before spending time troubleshooting a login issue, check the status page — if GHL is experiencing a platform-wide issue, no amount of troubleshooting on your end will help. Wait for the all-clear.
